10 Point Blocking

• Traditional bow and move into horse stance

• Hands come down centerline and shuto/block out at knee/thigh height. Thumbs in tight to palms

• Hands cross as they come up centerline. Shuto block out at shoulders, palms up 90 degrees to forearms, elbows at side

• Hands cross as they come down centerline and shuto out at knees

• Hands come up centerline touching as in prayer

• Hands do shuto block out at shoulder height, palms facing out then palms turn in and chop in front of face, forearms touching

• Hands press down centerline

• Turn to left, press out right hand high, left hand low (both hands in front of chest center). Fingers back, hands in line

• Turn to right. Hands circle, like rotating a ball, press out, left hand high, right hand low

• Turning to center, left knife hand in front of left thigh followed by right knife hand at right thigh

• Hands rise up centerline, palms down

• Palms reach chest height and push out, then turn down and grab and pull down at mid chest height. Body settles

• Right hand circles clockwise. Right forearm stops at perpendicular to ground, right palm up at 90 degrees. Left hand circles clockwise at same time and stops under right elbow palm down.

• Right hand circles counterclockwise inside left arm and right palm facing down blocks low. Left hand rises, palm up and blocks high

• Right hand circles counter clockwise. Left hand circles counterclockwise. Both hands at centerline in front of chest palms out (right hand over left). Then both hands push out

• Left hand circles counterclockwise. Left forearm stops at perpendicular to ground, palm at 90 degrees. Right hand circles counterclockwise and supports elbow, palm down

• Left hand circles clockwise dropping inside right arm and blocks low. Right hand rises and blocks high.

• Left hand circles clockwise. Right hand circles clockwise. Both hands at center line in front of chest. Left hand over right hand. Hands press out.

• Hands come back to centerline (peace over war). Close stance and bow
